Robert Fox begann seine Karriere in den frühen 1970er Jahren. Zunächst arbeitete er als Laufbursche und Assistent am Royal Court Theatre in London, bevor er 1980 schließlich seine eigene Produktionsfirma gründete. Er produzierte unter anderem den Film „Iris“ und für „The Hours – Von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit“ erhielt der Brite sogar eine Oscar-Nominierung als Produzent. Besonders prägend war seine Arbeit an „The Audience“. Das Stück mit Helen Mirren als Queen Elizabeth II. inspirierte die spätere Netflix-Erfolgsserie „The Crown“. Dort wirkte Robert Fox als ausführender Produzent mit.
Robert Fox began his career in the early 1970s. He initially worked as an errand boy and assistant at the Royal Court Theater in London before eventually founding his own production company in 1980. Among other things, he produced the film “Iris” and the Brit even received an Oscar nomination as a producer for “The Hours – From Eternity to Eternity”. His work on “The Audience” was particularly formative. The play, starring Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II, inspired the later hit Netflix series “The Crown.” Robert Fox worked there as an executive producer.
