Stephen Hibbert

Als die stumme, in Leder gekleidete Figur „The Gimp“ in Quentin Tarantinos Meisterwerk „Pulp Fiction“ aus dem Jahr 1994 hinterließ er einen bleibenden Eindruck, obwohl er kaum einen Ton sagte. Von 1984 bis 1986 arbeitete er als Autor für die legendäre US-Talkshow „Late Night with David Letterman“. In den folgenden Jahren schrieb er Drehbücher für Animations- und Comedyserien wie „Darkwing Duck“, „Animaniacs“ und „Mad TV“, aber auch für das Teenie-Drama „Boy Meets World“. 1987 gab Hibbert als Schauspieler sein Fernsehdebüt in einer Episode der US-Sitcom „Newhart“. Doch es war seine Rolle in „Pulp Fiction“, die ihn weltbekannt machte. In den folgenden Jahren war er in weiteren Kinofilmen zu sehen. So spielte er in der Spionageparodie „Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me“ und in der Comicverfilmung „The Cat in the Hat“ mit. Im Fernsehen hatte er Gastauftritte in Serien wie „Just Shoot Me!“, „Jericho“, „True Jackson VP“ und „Dr. Ken“.
